Jewellery care can differ depending on the material so it's really important to make sure you know how to take care of your new pieces.

JEWELLERY CARE BY MATERIAL

18KT GOLD PLATED - PVD STAINLESS STEEL

All our stainless steel pieces are made from the highest quality 316L stainless steel.

Stainless steel is an extremely durable metal that does not rust or oxidise - meaning it will never turn green or dull, plus it does not scratch easily.
Stainless steel is 100% recyclable - making it a sustainable material. It is also known for its hypoallergenic material and is a suitable option for those prone to allergies from other metals, it does sometimes contain traces of nickel.

All our 18 karat gold plated PVD pieces are waterproof, sweat proof and tarnish-free - you can go to the gym, the beach and shower wearing these and not have to worry.
We do recommend regularly cleaning your PVD stainless steel jewellery to prevent residue build-up that can dull your new pieces. Clean with a damp, soft cloth and mild soap if needed, rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.

18KT GOLD PLATED - BRASS/COPPER

Brass and copper are the most affordable base metals and are popular for there malleable characteristics, commonly used amongst the big fashion houses for their costume jewellery.

Both these base metals will tarnish over time, following these tips will help your pieces retain their original shine and beauty;

✽ Avoid any water, remove when bathing, don't wear in the pool.

✽ Avoid excessive sweating - remove when working out or any other physical demanding work, as this can cause tarnishing when excessively exposed.

✽ Apply your lotions, perfumes and any other cosmetics before putting your jewellery on.

✽ Store in a cool, dry place, preferably a sealed/enclosed place away from direct, bright sunlight.

✽ Clean by wiping with a soft, damp cloth.

18KT GOLD PLATED - STERLING SILVER

925 Sterling Silver is a lightweight metal made of 92.5% pure silver. It’s highly durable and designed for everyday wear.

All our 18 karat gold plated 925 sterling silver pieces are coated with real gold and a protective clear e-coating for longevity and an extra layer of protection against tarnishing, scratching or corrosion.

All our sterling silver pieces are stamped with the '925' mark - indicating the purity of the metal for ease of mind.

GENERAL JEWELLERY CARE
HOW SHOULD I STORE MY JEWELLERY?Storage is important.

Always store your pieces separately to prevent damage, scratches & tangles.

Our pouches you receive your jewellery in are perfect for this.

TOP TIP: All jewellery should always be stored away from direct, natural sunlight as this can cause the process of tarnishing to speed up with certain base materials & can cause some gemstones to fade.
Keep jewellery in a dark, cool and dry place.

HOW SHOULD I CLEAN MY JEWELLERY?

Regularly cleaning your pieces helps to avoid the residue build-up that can dull the original shine.
Clean your jewellery carefully with a soft, non-abrasive and lint-free cloth.

If necessary, you can use a very mild washing up liquid with warm water, then rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth and ensure your piece is completely dry before storing away.

Avoid using ‘dip’ polish or abrasive jewellery cleaners as these contain harsh chemicals and can damage the clear protective coating & destroy your jewellery over time.

CAN I SHOWER IN MY JEWELLERY?

It all depends on the base material, check-out our 'care guides by material' section above for full details.
We have waterproof jewellery but most our pieces have a protective coating on it making it safe to be in water as long as you wipe it down quickly afterwards.
